Strong Password
A strong password is:
  • Long (12+ characters)
  • Unique to each account
  • A mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Not based on personal information
  • Hard to guess, but easy for the user to remember
Examples:

Weak Password
A weak password is:
  • Short
  • Common or predictable
  • Based on personal information
    • Social Security Number 

    • Names

    • Birthdays

    • Pets

    • Phone numbers

    • Common words or phrases

Examples:
  • Password123
  • SamPuth
  • John1995
  • Welcome101
